The Problem

India's kids will handle money
before they understand it.

Most Indian children will take loans, invest, and manage budgets as adults — without ever having been taught how. Saavvo is changing that, one habit at a time.

📚

No school curriculum for money

Financial literacy isn't part of the standard Indian school syllabus. Children learn by watching — and often pick up the wrong habits.

🌏

Existing apps aren't built for India

Western platforms don't account for UPI, Indian family dynamics, or the cultural context of money in Bharat.

The habit window closes early

Research suggests core money habits form in early childhood. By the time most tools reach kids, the foundational years are gone.

567M

children under 18 in India. Almost none receive structured financial education at any point in their childhood.

Only ~27% of Indian adults are financially literate — NCFE national survey.

How It Works

From chores to money skills
in four steps.

1

Parents assign

Set chores and coin values from the parent dashboard — water the plants, finish homework, help at home.

2

Kids earn

Children complete tasks and earn virtual rupees — a direct, felt link between effort and money.

3

Coins get saved

Earnings flow into savings goals they chose themselves. Watching progress build teaches patience.

4

Skills compound

Lessons, quizzes, and UPI practice turn daily habits into lifelong financial confidence.

Inside the App

One app. Two experiences.

Our Mission

"India has 567 million children under 18. Most will enter adulthood without ever having been taught how money works. Saavvo is building the platform to change that."

27%
Only about a quarter of Indian adults are financially literate, according to the NCFE's national survey. The other three quarters learned money the hard way.
Age 7
Research from the University of Cambridge suggests core money habits are largely formed by age seven. The earlier children learn, the more naturally habits stick.
